Welcome to the new Robins 2023 - 24
Hello and welcome to our Year One Robin class page.
The team
Class teachers: Mrs Larke (Monday to Wednesday) and Miss Coetzee (Thursday to Friday).
Teaching assistant: Mrs Wright.
During the first term in Robin Class, we ensure that children have a gradual transition from Owl class (and the Early Years curriculum) by providing a balance of child-centred activities and challenge tasks. Gradually, the children are expected to do more concentrated work, building up over the year to prepare them for Year 2. The children still have many opportunities for hands-on experiences in which they explore and discover through a thematic approach to learning (as with the rest of the school), whilst meeting the National Curriculum objectives.
Parents and pupils of the current year one Robin Class can visit the Google Classroom for details regarding the current themes and further updates.
