Chinese New Year!
The school have been learning about how Chinese New Year is celebrated. This year is the Year of the Dog. Fan Ping visited us at school and told us all about how red is a significant colour for Chinese people. It is believed to be a lucky colour and children usually receive money in a red envelope at New Year. All of the children in the school had the opportunity to make a red envelope and to have a go at Chinese writing.
You will also see some Early Years writing about which year they were born in - look at how well they are using their sounds!
